What the job involves
- Preparing statutory accounts and working papers for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
- Preparing corporation tax computations, VAT returns and assist with personal tax matters.
- Working with Xero, Dext and other cloud software to deliver efficient solutions.
- Supervising and supporting junior team members, review work and provide guidance.
- Liaising with clients, understanding their needs and providing practical advice.
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support clients in achieving their goals.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time and in line with regulations.
What we are looking for
- Form of accountancy qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA, or qualified by experience).
- Experience in Xero and accounting software.
- Approximately 3 years of practice experience.
- You will be confident when it comes to advising clients and seek to build long-term relations by understanding their business and adding value.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Previous experience dealing with agricultural accounts is desirable but not essential.
